JOURNALIST
Highly skilled in writing and taking pictures Damien is in an ideal position to deliver fully illustrated articles, whether they be interviews, travel pieces or product reviews. His questioning mind leads him to naturally delve deep into the subject to find the answers and angles that create engaging, interesting and informative copy, while his pictures go on to add what the printed page doesn’t always have room for in words. Experienced in pure journalistic, advertorial and promotional styles, he has the flexibility to suit a wide range of clients, and while photography is his speciality he enjoys drawing the story from almost any subject matter.
Damien is an award winning journalist who specialises in writing about photography, photographers, photographic technique and photographic equipment. He won Technical Writer/Editor Of The Year three times from IPC Media (now Time Inc) and now, working as a freelance journalist, has contributed to the majority of the UK’s printed photographic titles.
Damien has worked in the photographic publishing industry since 1997, including 15 years at the world’s only weekly photo magazine, Amateur Photographer, where he was editor.
